Denim, leather and motorcycles have always gone hand-in-hand. The two have a parallel history rooted in the great outdoors, a D.I.Y aesthetic and just a little bit of rock 'n roll. It makes sense then that Wrangler and Byron Bay-based motorcycle company Thrills have collaborated on a capsule denim collection, and released a short film to celebrate that.
Remiss of any of the cliches often associated with partnerships around denim and rock 'n roll (terrible cut and paste posters and models holding guitars-as-props come to mind) the video, directed by 22-year-old Ryan Blakeway is an investigation into the relationship between Wrangler, Thrills and the great outdoors. Campaign models Emily Jean Bester and Vinnie Woolston swim in lakes and drive down long, empty roads, set to a bespoke soundtrack by prolific musician Ali Helnwein (who also contributed the sounds to Alex Prager's short film 'Lara Stone: American Fairytale').
