Three Stories is a collection of three, previously unreleased short stories by JD Salinger - "Birthday Boy", "Paula" and "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls" - and it has just leaked online.
According to Dazed Digital, the manuscript of "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls" was given to Princeton by Salinger after confirmation by the university that it wouldn't be published until 50 years after his death, in 2060.
Buzzfeed enlisted Salinger scholar Kenneth Slawenski to confirm that the manuscript is real. The leak originated at an eBay auction, before the manuscripts were posted on bittorrent website what.CD and to Reddit.
You can read the scanned manuscript below, and if you're a Holden Caulfield fan read "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls"; an intended prequel to Catcher in the Rye.
In related news, Salinger the bio-pic has just been released. Watch the trailer below and listen to this Podcast in which Slate's Culture Gabfest panel describe their immense dislike for the film.
